Kane County Cougars are looking for Bartenders to join our team! The Bartender provides exceptional guest experience by offering friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service in a fast-paced alcohol portable/station . This role involves greeting guests, guiding them through the beer menu, serving beverages with precision, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The bartender is responsible for monitoring alcohol consumption responsibly, handling cash and POS transactions accurately, and supporting team members during busy service hours. A passion for craft beer, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to lift and stand for extended periods are also required. Nice To Haves

  • 21+ years of age
  • Previous bartending or serving experience preferred (especially in beer-centric environments)
  • Passion for craft beer with a desire to learn more (Cicerone certification is a plus!)
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for the entire length of shift.
  • Frequent standing, bending, stooping, carrying, walking, sitting, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide excellent customer service.
  • Guide guests through the beer menu, offering samples and recommendations.
  • Accurately pour and serve beer, maintaining appropriate presentation and portion standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized alcohol portable/station.
  • Monitor customer alcohol consumption and adhere to all responsible serving guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during high-volume hours.
  • Handle transactions via POS system and manage tabs accurately.
  • Assist with events, tastings, and beer releases as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
