About The Position

The Bartender role focuses on preparing and serving a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, with a particular emphasis on tequila, mezcal, margaritas, and Mexican-inspired cocktails. Key responsibilities include delivering exceptional guest service, engaging customers with menu knowledge and brand storytelling, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. The position also involves accurately processing orders and transactions using a POS system, ensuring compliance with alcohol laws, and collaborating with other hotel and restaurant staff for seamless service. The Bartender will assist with bar setup, breakdown, inventory, and support special events and high-volume periods while adhering to health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and Mexican spirits (tequila & mezcal preferred)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive during high-energy service periods
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Food Handler and Alcohol Service certifications (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, with a strong focus on tequila, mezcal, margaritas, and Mexican-inspired cocktails
  • Deliver outstanding guest service with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor
  • Engage guests with menu knowledge, cocktail recommendations, and brand storytelling
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including glassware, tools, and workstations
  • Accurately ring in orders using the POS system and handle cash and credit transactions responsibly
  • Monitor guest consumption and ensure compliance with Florida alcohol laws and hotel policies
  • Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and hotel teams to ensure seamless service
  • Assist with bar setup, breakdown, and inventory counts
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Support special events, high-volume service periods, and hotel-driven activations
