Overview The Dome, a premier 5,000-capacity indoor-outdoor music hall in Virginia Beach’s Atlantic Park, is seeking energetic and experienced Bartenders to provide top-tier service in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. This role is essential in delivering exceptional beverage service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and enhancing the overall guest experience. This role will pay an hourly rate of $2.13 and is tip eligible Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until April 17th, 2026.

Requirements

Experience: Previous bartending experience in a high-volume bar, restaurant, or event venue preferred.
Skills: Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits. Exceptional multitasking, communication, and customer service skills.
Attributes: Outgoing, energetic, and passionate about creating an unforgettable guest experience.
Certifications: Must meet state and local alcohol service requirements (e.g., TIPS or similar responsible beverage service certification).
Availability: Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with The Dome’s event schedule.

Responsibilities

Beverage Service: Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and accurately while maintaining high presentation standards.
Guest Experience: Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring excellent service and fostering a lively atmosphere.
Sales & Upselling: Recommend premium drink selections and specialty cocktails to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
Cash Handling & POS System: Process transactions efficiently using the venue’s point-of-sale system while following cash-handling procedures.
Bar Setup & Maintenance: Stock, clean, and maintain the bar area before, during, and after shifts to ensure a smooth operation.
Responsible Alcohol Service: Follow all responsible beverage service laws and venue policies, including checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with barbacks, servers, and management to maintain seamless service throughout events.
Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
