About The Position

Bartenders at Glacier are responsible for serving beverages and/or food to Glacier members and associates in highly professional, timely, and friendly manner. Ensuring outstanding member experience and service. Glacier is a 1100-acre resort property facilities include: Two 18-hole golf courses, golf practice facility, two clubhouses, fitness center, three pools, two hot tubs, tennis center with three courts, courtside grill, snack shop and four comfort stations. This announcement is for a part-time, seasonal bartender. All bartenders at Glacier receive service-fee based gratuities above the base pay rates below, as well as potential tips beyond that amount. Requirements

  • Required to be at a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; industry certifications a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a bartender in the restaurant industry required.
  • Exemplary knowledge of wine and liquor and must be able to make a wide range of cocktails.
  • Able to work with a computer-based food ordering system, point of sale system and ability to handle money.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A friendly and energetic personality with a member service focus.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts.
  • Able to meet and maintain physical requirements.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently within a fast-paced and high stress environment.
  • The desire to continually learn and act strategically.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal of supervision.
  • Possess good verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to work in an environment that has constantly changing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with all matters.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members; respond to inquiries and requests promptly and friendly.
  • Checks guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work and set up for a variety events.
  • Ability to provide advice and suggestions on wine selections, while ensuring proper wine server etiquette.
  • Present and serve fine dining service of food and beverages to guests with knowledge of items on all menus.
  • Accurately total, process and collect payments to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit cards and making change.
  • Stock, maintain and organize the bar, wine room and wine bin system.
  • Assist team members with other duties as needed such as bussing and resetting tables, polishing silverware and/or glasses, folding napkins, sweeping and/or cleaning bar floor, preparing food items or any other restaurant/bar duties as assigned.
  • Ensure all closing processes are completed and followed at the end of shift.
  • Ability to provide excellent service while problem solving or under pressure.
  • Team player that is always willing to help, while possessing a positive, inclusive and hardworking attitude.
  • Must be able to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift 50 pounds
