Being fast and accurate is vital to keeping up with our fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of restaurant experience in upscale dining is preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented, accurate and possess good organizational abilities and be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must possess customer service skills and strong oral communication skills.
  • Competency in dealing with members and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy.
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively under time deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming Guests, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders
  • Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
  • Selecting & mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to Guests
  • Properly describe, open and pour wine while guest-facing
  • Assist Guests in selecting food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the menu & chef's specialties, identifying appropriate wines & answering food & drink preparation questions
  • Transmit orders to the kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, menu deviations & knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
  • Assisting with inventory when needed and alerting management of supplies needed to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
  • Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register
  • Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
  • Perform basic side-work as needed or directed by management
  • Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression

Under the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), employees accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year. Other legally required benefits, such as workers' compensation and unemployment insurance, also apply.
