The Bartender position involves serving beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. This role also includes preparing beverages for other servers to supply guests dining in the restaurant.

Requirements

  • Bartending experience in a hotel or restaurant.
  • General knowledge of liquors and wines.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old.
  • Experience upholding service and standards in a fining dining restaurant.
  • Food Handlers & Alcohol Awareness Certificate required.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to use good judgement, work independently in a multi-task position.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Legal permission to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • TOAST POS experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily.
  • Requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
  • Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
  • Greetings guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks.
  • Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
  • Verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, to balance all money.
  • Locks up and stores all beverage, food, and other equipment items.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
