About The Position

Salty's Seafood Grills is seeking a talented full-service restaurant bartender with a genuine heart for hospitality. For 40 years, Salty's has been a regional icon, serving astonishing Northwest coastal cuisine, service, and smiles, operating on the motto "A Happy Guest is Our Success." It is a busy, fast-paced establishment enjoyed by locals, regulars, and travelers. Salty's is a family business, privately owned and operated by the Kingen family, and believes that happy team members create happy guests. As a bartender, you will provide timely, accurate, and friendly service, preparing high-quality beverages for guests with a positive, team-focused attitude. The primary objective is to exceed guest expectations to ensure their return. Salty's is looking for experienced Bartenders with a solid foundation in full-service restaurant operations.

Requirements

Be 21 years of age
4 years previous experience full service bartending
A warm, friendly, and engaging personality
Have working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and common drink recipes
Possess basic math skills and cash handling procedures
Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift to 40 pounds

Responsibilities

Take beverage orders from guests and servers
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant's standard drink recipes
Learn the names and personally recognize our regulars
Record drink orders accurately and immediately input order into the point of sales system
Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change (if applicable)
Wash and sterilize glassware
Prepare garnishes for drinks and keep pars maintained
Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
Clear and reset tables in bar area
Work outside bar if needed
Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages and food
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas
Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar
Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager
Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
Be a team player and work outside of bar area (must be able to wait tables in bar)
Invite guest back with specific come on back
Greet guests who pass within 5ft
