About The Position

This position is responsible for preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and/or Servers in accordance with established outlet policies, procedures and steps of service, while providing a fun, fresh, friendly and exciting environment.

Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience in a full service restaurant, lounge or showroom/nightclub or completion of bartending school required
  • Outgoing personality, well groomed with a special or unique talent for entertaining guests (i.e. dancing, singing, etc.)
  • Previous experience in modeling or in a position interacting with the public
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of spirits, beers, wines and beverage service techniques
  • Thorough knowledge of ice handling procedures as well as health and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to maintain a clean, well-stocked bar efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent working knowledge of drinks, recipes and use of endorsements at appropriate service opportunities
  • Proficiency in the call order system
  • Excellent knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service and shutoff procedures
  • Outlet-specific standard operating procedures
  • SMART alcohol awareness
  • Point of sale system training
  • Must be able to work in a casino environment with smoke, low lighting and loud music and noises
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stand and stretch for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours

Responsibilities

  • Greets guests with a smile and friendly welcome
  • Fills drink orders per the outlets recipes and standards with fast, fun, friendly and focused service
  • Responsible for having extensive knowledge of all applicable menus and products
  • Performs steps of service in a hospitable and professional manner according to standards set by the FOH team
  • Uses point of sale terminal and completes other cashiering functions
  • Consistently applies knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service and shutoff procedures
  • Actively up-sells products and uses endorsements at all appropriate service opportunities
  • Sets-up and breaks down assigned bar in accordance with department policies and procedures
  • Maintains sanitation and safety standards in assigned work areas
  • Poses for pictures with guests, as requested
  • Attends social events and is available for public appearances
  • Maintains proper par levels of beverage products, supplies and glasses
  • Maintains garnishes, glassware and overall cleanliness of bars
  • Communicates inventory and maintenance needs to management
  • Performs opening and closing duties
  • Promotes upcoming venue events
