About The Position
Hidden by design and rich in atmosphere, P.S. Speakeasy is an intimate, upscale cocktail lounge inspired by classic speakeasy culture. Our bar program is intentional, refined, and experience-driven—crafted for guests who appreciate quality, nuance, and presence over volume. P.S. Speakeasy is managed by Arbor Lodging, a leading hotel investment and management company with a growing portfolio across the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Arbor partners with premier brands including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG, and is known for its people-first, hospitality-forward culture. This is for bartenders who see the bar as a stage—and hospitality as an art. Summary: As a Bartender at P.S. Speakeasy, you are the heartbeat of the room. You will curate a guest experience through expertly crafted cocktails, thoughtful conversation, and a calm command of your environment. This role requires mastery of classic and contemporary cocktails, strong intuition, and the ability to balance engagement with discretion.
Requirements
- Proven bartending experience in an upscale cocktail lounge, speakeasy, hotel bar, or fine-dining environment
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, flavor profiles, and proper technique
- Ability to read the room and adapt service style to the guest
- Professional polish, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail
- Current alcohol service certification and ability to comply with all state regulations
- Comfort using POS systems and basic computer literacy
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and late nights

- Second language skills are a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve craft cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency
- Engage guests with confidence—learning preferences, offering recommendations, and elevating the experience without overpowering it
- Execute classic cocktail standards while embracing house recipes and creative expression within brand expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually striking bar at all times
- Monitor guest consumption and verify identification in compliance with state and local regulations
- Manage bar inventory, restocking, and organization
- Uphold a calm, professional presence during peak service times
- Collaborate with service staff to ensure seamless guest flow and timing
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
- Stay guest-focused while protecting the intimate ambiance of the space
- Lift, move, and stock items up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
