About The Position

Bartender The Bartender is the first area of service for the guests before arriving at their tables. it is essential to provide the guests with a positive experience before they leave the bar by providing prompt and friendly service, describing and assisting them in making beverage selections. Prepare and process orders and payments on the register. As the Key West Cooking Show (KWCS) Bartender, you assume the role of tour guide, communicator, showman, decision-maker, memorabilia curator, and foodie/mixologist. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old
  • Experience in a full-service restaurant and/or bar
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and substance abuse testing
  • Have a passion for helping people and make their Key West experience a memorable one.
  • Maintain necessary mandated food and drink certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Create memorable KWCS experiences for guests by entertaining guests
  • Make drinks to spec recipe and serve food
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on all spirits and mixers, such as soft drinks, juices, syrups, and bitters.
  • Answer guest questions accurately and politely
  • Make proficient sales transactions using the point-of-sale system.
  • Handle cash and other forms of payment.
  • Maintain proper cash drawer balance.
