About The Position

As a Bartender at Lumiere Brasserie within the Fairmont Century Plaza, you will embody the hotel's spirit with enthusiasm and pride, delivering exceptional service to every guest. You are expected to be energetic and confident, fostering a positive environment for your team while ensuring guests have the best possible experience through friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional service. Your primary responsibilities include preparing beverages according to Fairmont Century Plaza's recipes and guidelines, ensuring proper presentation and cost efficiency, and strictly adhering to all liquor laws regarding the preparation, serving, and consumption of alcoholic beverages.

Requirements

• Previous experience tending bar in a high volume, luxury environment
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Exceed guest expectations by interacting in a way that makes them feel special through proper and friendly service
• Serve guests with all steps of service to help prioritize the guest experience
• Be pro-active by assisting co-workers, support and assist Managers
• Prepare beverages following Fairmont Century Plaza recipes and guidelines for preparation
• Take orders and interact with guests in a professional way making them feel welcome and special
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar prep area and bar
• Be familiar with all menu items, preparations, and aspects and services of the property
