About The Position

All Harrah’s Team Members are expected to deliver truly great service and to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our guests. Team Members must work well as a team, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to company policies and gaming regulations. For Bartenders, here are specific details. JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests  Prepare beverages as ordered  Build relationships with guests  Keep the bar area clean and the workstation stocked in accordance with established health and safety guidelines  Operate a cash register/POS system, ring the proper amount into the register, and give a guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge, and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities  Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines  Follow the guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Commission and/or the NC ABC Commission  Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner  Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • One year of customer service experience is required
  • RASP certification is required
  • ServSafe certification is required
  • Can be completed within 30 days of the hire date
  • Can be completed within 90 days of the hire date
  • Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of beverage operations
  • Willing to learn and be adaptable
  • Attention to detail/observant
  • Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
  • Must be able to attend to multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to maneuver and tap a keg weighing 165 pounds
  • Must be able to be on feet for an 8-hour shift
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grasp
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Six months of experience as a bartender at a full-service bar is preferred
  • Completion of a documented training program is preferred
