The Smith is a popular casual neighborhood brasserie, known for its lively atmosphere and offering bistro classics, seasonal fare, and craft cocktails, suitable for various occasions. The Bartender position involves welcoming guests, creating an energetic environment, communicating professionally, collaborating with team members, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes, ensuring responsible alcohol service, anticipating guest needs, maintaining a clean and stocked bar area, and upholding food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

Welcome each guest at the bar and create an inviting, energetic environment
Communicate with guests in a warm, professional manner, ensuring they feel valued and well cared for
Work collaboratively with all Smith team members to support a seamless guest experience
Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for both bar and dining room guests, following standard recipes
Maintain a strong understanding of responsible alcohol service and ensure compliance at all times
Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, proactive service throughout their experience
Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service
Uphold all food safety, handling, and sanitation standards to ensure the safety of guests and team members
