MetroLagoons is hiring for the Spring and Summer Seasons! Looking for a schedule that fits your life? We've got openings across all shifts: mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, and weekends! JOB SUMMARY: A good bartender will take pride in providing attentive, friendly, and clean/sanitary service that ensures our guests and residents feel valued and well taken care of, which contributes to guest loyalty. This person will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 18 years of age (21+ preferred)
- Food & Beverage Safety certifications (We will provide certification if needed)
- Previous bartender experience required – 2 years of experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
- Outstanding communication, customer service and cash handling skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may vary based on business needs
- Ability to work outside in all-weather elements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Focus or similar POS system a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and promote positive guest experience
- Prepare and serve both non-alcohol and alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests
- Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check IDs to ensure appropriate customers meets legal drinking age
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol, following all company and state guidelines
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Other duties as needed
