About The Position

Prepares alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks following a variety of established and complex recipes. Serves patrons directly or delivers to wait staff. Ensures bar is in a presentable and sanitary condition. Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items. Maintains work area neat and clean. Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils following proper sanitation procedures. Stocks services bars as required. Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability. Assists in taking inventory and maintaining records on which drinks and liquors are in greatest demand. Accepts money, operates cash register, and makes change. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability. Completes required training in the serving of alcohol beverages before starting work. Annual, local refresher training is required and must be documented. Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem, or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Must have working knowledge of sanitation procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Your resume/application must demonstrate the required experience/education.
  • Must satisfactorily complete a Federal Background check and all pre-employment requirements, which may include, but are not limited to, background checks, security clearances, drug testing, verification of employment history, and any other requirements applicable to this position.
  • Additionally, you may be required to meet specific job-related qualifications or certifications as a condition of your employment.
  • Males born after 12/31/59 and at least 18 years of age must be registered with the Selective Service System, unless covered by an exemption under the Selective Service Law, in accordance with 5 U.S. Code 3378.
  • Selectee will be required to provide a written statement regarding his registration status unless he is exempted by this statute.
  • Non-U.S. nationals, who are authorized to work in the U.S. and applying for any DHS position, must have resided within the United States, or U.S. territories, for at least three of the last five years.
  • Selectee will be required to participate in Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer as the Standard method of payment for payroll and travel purposes.
