About The Position

This up-and-coming, multi discipline facility just across the boarder from Memphis, Tennessee is looking for a new Barrel Racing Trainer to help them grow! This facility is already well into development, boasting a 50 acre, lower level eventing course, 3 outdoor arenas and an Indoor under construction, a 12 stall pole barn and competition barn in the works, a couple of show series, and big plans for improvement! This is a team who believes in supporting their employees and providing opportunities for their team to reach their goals. Individuals applying for this job must be experienced equestrians first and foremost, but also share the kind and caring spirit embodied by the rest of the team at this facility. This is a well-staffed, well organized equestrian operation under the leadership of a globally accomplished FEI equestrian. Applicants will be expected to partake in the daily care chores of the horses, though they will have the opportunity to shift their focus to teaching & training as the facility matures. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Barrel Racing Trainer who isn't afraid of pitching in on the daily care responsibilities, but will ultimately take on increasing teaching/training responsibilities as the client base develops! The ideal candidate will have proven success in 1D/2D competition from a variety of venues, and have experience training horses and developing riders from beginner on. This person should be comfortable promoting their abilities as a trainer, sourcing quality horses for the program, and be interested in growing a racing series at this facility. Currently, the facility is home to 15 full-time residents, 8 of which are stable boarders, but has serious ambitions to grow in the immediate future! This program offers quality work/life balance, and rewards those with a true passion for the industry and collaborative attitude!
