We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Barn Area Security Supervisor. An individual could be successful if they possess the following. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Barn Area Security Supervisor Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, team members and Company assets. The Security Supervisor oversees, directs, trains and manages the performance of the Security team members. Acts to protect and safeguard assets of guests, team members and the company. Delivers excellent guest service in accordance with Oaklawn's Core Values and Standards of Behavior. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: Ensures compliance with operational procedures for activities such as guest service standards, fire prevention, emergency response, guarding and patrolling the physical property, orienting and monitoring of personnel inside and outside the facility, and responding to accidents and criminal acts inside and outside the facility Supervises security officers assisting with guest interactions and transactions as needed Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls Ensures the enforcement of state casino laws including (but not limited to) the identification and removal of underage persons from the casino floor Responds to verbal and/or physical altercations and applies or directs the appropriate measures to resolve the situation Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns Enforces internal control policies and procedures Enforces compliance with underage gambling and drinking laws Conducts regular security post inspections Prepares security incident reports and maintain security logs Ensures security team members adhere to uniform dress and grooming standards consistent with department and company standards Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management Patrols (on foot) designated areas to prevent theft, violence, safety issues and hazards Ensures locked areas remain secure by performing door checks Responds to all security calls and alarms in a timely manner. Operates communication equipment properly, safely and according to company policy and procedure Performs escorts of company funds in a safe, secure, timely, and proper manner Provides assistance, directions, and answer questions as needed in a professional courteous manner Stays informed of and follows safety and emergency action protocol Completes all Security department paperwork in a timely and efficient manner Knowledgeable of and consistently follows Oaklawn policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state and federal regulations Communicates effectively with all levels of Oaklawn team members and guests Performs work in a safe manner and always maintains a safe environment for fellow team members and guests Maintains strict confidentiality Maintains a positive and professional image for Oaklawn at all times when performing duties or representing Oaklawn and encourage others to do the same Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal and external guests Regular punctual attendance Ability to work required overtime Ability to handle several tasks at the same time Ability to lead by example and act as a ethical and positive role model Ability to maintain a calm, professional and friendly demeanor in all situations Ability to provide sound and measurable backup to support any/all recommendations for change Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities Superior guest service and interpersonal skills Must be able to work independently and on a team, and exercise good judgment in handling a variety of situations Excellent communication and problem solving skills Highly organized and detail oriented Knowledge of Gaming Commission policies, procedures and guidelines Knowledge of gaming, federal and state reporting requirements Strong computer skills Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
