About The Position

The Barista is responsible for providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable café environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check if required.
• Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to HWRC policies and procedures, adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements.
• Adhere to established standards of hygiene and universal infection control procedures in handling all food and supplies.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Understanding of hand washing and hygiene techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with guests and co-workers.

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, coffees, and specialty beverages by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, maintaining front of house equipment based on health code.
• Excellent Customer service including: describing menu items, suggesting products, taking orders, and helping customers in all areas of the dining room.
• Responsible for handling cash and utilizing POS system.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Café Manager and Manager on shift.
