About The Position

From Hooper Hospitality Concepts, Night Rooster debut in the Dallas Design District as an elevated Chinese restaurant and lounge. Focusing on Classic Chinese cuisine, the menu is created by Culinary Director Shirley Chung and will focus on creating an upscale traditional Chinese dining experience using Texas sourced ingredients. Night Rooster will feature a cocktail program with a heavy emphasis on Asian whiskeys, International Wines, and Sake with an abundance of house made mixers and infusions. The interior is modern-Asian inspired, with a dark and moody 'Orient Express' atmosphere, with the exteriors contrasted with wood and Iron Ore brick. Position Summary Our Baristas are responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our customers. They must ensure the quality of beverages and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a barista in a similar role.
  • Excellent listener and communicator.
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a warm, friendly attitude and create a welcoming environment.
  • Build rapport with guests with accuracy and enthusiasm, offering recommendations when appropriate
  • Anticipates and accommodates the needs of the guests in a timely manner.
  • Communicates the needs of guests to other team members, managers and chefs as needed.
  • Serve coffee/tea orders to tables/bar in a timely manner.
  • Ability to focus on guest interaction and multitask.
  • Monitor guests' satisfaction during service and offer assistance of refills as needed.
  • Helps ensure guest satisfaction through active participation in service.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of the coffee and tea menus, their assigned recipes and the ability to execute them to Company standard.
  • Possesses general knowledge of all food and beverage menus, and Company policies & procedures.
  • Complies with Department of Health and Company safety and sanitation standards.
  • Works as part of a service team and provides service help and support to all fellow team members and guests.
  • Maintain the general cleanliness and sanitation of the coffee station, and entire venue.
  • Rings in product before it is served.
  • Restock & rotate milk & syrup stock.
  • Sets-Up/Breaks-Down Coffee Station and Performs Rings in product before it is served.
  • Understands sequence of service and coursing.
  • Oversees cleanliness and maintenance of workspace.
  • Reports all breakage, damage to equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment, including, but not limited to, cutlery used in the cutting of fruit for garnishes.
  • Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings
  • All other duties as assigned.
