Requirements

• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to communicate effectively with others; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues
• Ability to work a flexible shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as business needs dictate

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous cash handling experience a plus
• Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred
• Previous Starbucks/barista experience an asset

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent guest service while making quality, hand-crafted beverages
• Responsible for educating guests about our premium coffees, teas, gelatos, and menu items
• Prepares and sells coffee drinks, such as espresso, café latte, and cappuccino, by following recipes and preparation techniques
• Operates electronic cash register system to accurately and immediately account for transaction payments; transports monies to and from the main Credit cage
• Delivers guest orders
• Ensures guest satisfaction through food quality checks and responds to guest complaints
• Maintains equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing cleaning and preventive maintenance
• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases, shelves, and displays clean and well stocked, while continuously checking and ensuring freshness and quality of products
• Maintains a clean and welcoming dining room with attention to detail, sanitation, and safety
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters
