The Barista position is an On-Call role located within the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center at its Starbucks kiosk called STEAM. The ideal candidate will provide world-class customer service by delivering timely and friendly coffee bar service, engaging in suggestive selling, maintaining product presentation standards, and ensuring coffee bar cleanliness.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months previous experience as a Barista, especially if it was a Starbucks

Responsibilities

  • Provide world-class customer service by delivering timely and friendly coffee bar service
  • Suggestive selling
  • Maintaining product presentation standards
  • Maintaining coffee bar cleanliness
  • Greet guests with a smile and make them feel welcome
  • Provide outstanding service by taking orders, offering menu recommendations, and ensuring accurate delivery of food and beverages
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Starbucks coffee/beverages and accurate preparation of beverages
  • Process transactions (cash, credit card and room charge) in the POS system
  • Complete all side work and opening/closing duties
  • Complete all paperwork associated with closing cashier at the end of the shift
  • Maintain knowledge of the property and local events in order to answer guest inquiries
