About The Position

The Stella Hotel & Ballroom is looking for fun and outgoing people to join our team and work part time as a Barista in our Café. We offer flexible work schedules, and for those interested, cross-training in a variety of positions and the opportunity to learn the hotel industry. As a Barista on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include: Welcome and provide personalized service to all guests. Assist guests by helping take orders and suggesting daily specials. Prepare drinks such as coffee drinks or smoothies. Prepare food involving the use of a panini press/sandwich maker. Arrange food in the pastry case and inform kitchen when items need to be restocked. Set up and take down soup and salad bar. Wipe spills and maintain cleanliness of all appliances, espresso machine and counter space throughout the shift. Clear and clean tables as they are vacated. Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silverware prior to use. Able to work with point of sale software and inventory software. Must know about the entire property, services, hours of operation, locations, and nearby places of interest, etc.

Requirements

Previous experience in similar role.
Ability to work the hours of 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Knowledgeable in preparing lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, and other specialty coffees and teas.
Excellent customer service skills.
Dependability and regular attendance.
Must have or be able to obtain food safety handling certificate.
