About The Position

Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort is seeking an energetic and guest-focused Barista/Cashier to provide quick, efficient, and professional service to our guests. In this role, you will prepare specialty coffee beverages, process transactions, and ensure a welcoming and clean café environment that reflects Omni’s high standards of hospitality. Your friendly personality, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional service will help create a positive and memorable experience for every guest.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of cash handling experience required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain professional and positive in all situations
Ability to listen, understand, and respond effectively to guest and team member concerns
Understanding of proper uniform and grooming standards
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Work performed primarily inside the hotel café, restaurant, and kitchen areas
Exposure to varying temperatures and food & beverage environments
Interaction with food products, beverages, and cleaning chemicals

Previous barista, café, or food & beverage experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to all guests
Prepare and serve coffee beverages and food items according to established standards
Accurately process guest transactions including cash, credit cards, and room charges
Maintain a cash bank and follow proper cash handling procedures
Verify guest room numbers when processing room charges
Communicate effectively with guests and associates to ensure guest needs are met
Address guest questions or concerns in a professional and timely manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, service areas, and equipment
Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure lobby and public areas remain clean and presentable
Follow all food safety and proper food handling procedures
Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained properly
Assist with monthly inventory and stock control
Adhere to company policies regarding employee purchases and transactions
Interact with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
