Short Description In conjunction with the medical director and the associate director of bariatric surgical services at Cooper, this person will assist in the facilitation all operational facets of the Bariatric surgical program. The primary job responsibility will be to collect and submit reliable data to the bariatric database. This is accomplished through high-quality data compilation, documentation and entry into the bariatric database of all eligible primary and provisional bariatric surgeries for the hospital. Works closely with the members of the bariatric surgery team to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and other special projects as may be identified. The secondary responsibilities of the SCR involve all activities that keep the bariatric surgery program up to date with best practices, including identification of performance improvement projects/activities which ensure that bariatric surgical patients receive optimal care in inpatient and outpatient settings through guidelines established within the bariatric clinical pathways
