About The Position

Overview Programmatic initiatives for the Bariatric Surgical sub-service line and assure compliance with the Bariatric MBSAQIP Accredited Center certification requirements. Serves as the point of contact for Bariatric treatment throughout the hospital, and works collaboratively with the Bariatric Program Administrator and other key stakeholders on all Bariatric program efforts. Functions as a clinician, an educator, a consultant and a researcher with the primary responsibility for promoting quality care for Bariatric patients. Coordinates and manages care of bariatric patients in order to meet multiple service needs, ensure continuity of care, and eliminate fragmentation of care and services in all settings across the continuum. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or closely-related field Required
  • 3 years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to MBS care Required
  • REG DIET - Dietitian – Registered Upon Hire Required or RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire Required or PT - Physical Therapist Upon Hire Required or OT - Occupational Therapist – Registered Upon Hire Required
