Requirements

Must know how to operate PIT equipment which includes a forklift and a reach truck, must have PIT license to operate both pieces of equipment.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions.
Basic mathematical skills and counting ability required.
Must be able to pay close attention to detail, have general deductive reasoning skills to troubleshoot minor issues and knowledgeable of how and when to escalate.
Must be able to work without close supervision.
Must have PIT license.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, bend, stoop, walk, carry, clean, drive and maintain.

Responsibilities

Knowledge and recognition of plastic fittings by name, shape, and dimension.
Knowledge of daily performance goals and work to achieve 100% of targeted output.
Assuring quality of work through verification of correctness for all types of barcoded fittings and their associated packaging (i.e.: labels, cartons/cases, ink jet printed information, case count, and pallet configuration)
Detection, segregation, and isolation of non-conforming quality defects and notifying Supervisor, Manager, and/or QA Department
Able to identify various types of quality defects based on appearance, fit, form, and function.
Load hoppers with full bins of available parts for barcoding or packaging.
Transport all finished pallets from the wrapper staging area to the warehouse.
Scan in RF scanner finished pallets from staging location into a designated warehouse location.
Stretch wrap all finished pallets.
Empty the large trash bins in barcode area.
Must be able to safely operate and perform daily maintenance checks on a forklift.
Proper organization and cleanliness of assigned work area to highest level of standards.
Backup reach lift driver’s position with parts washer and putting away bins from IM.
Stage empty pallets in designated areas for production.
Remove empty bins from area and store them outside.
Performing the above mentioned functions with minimum supervision.
Any other duties as assigned by supervision or management.
