About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquet Setup associate. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting space according to Resort standards. You’ll ensure event spaces are perfectly arranged according to specifications, creating a welcoming and seamless environment for our guests. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly enhance both guest satisfaction and the overall success of events.

Requirements

1 year of meetings setup experience in the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property) is preferred.
Must be detail oriented, a self-motivator, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be a team player, willing to help anyone in the immediate area at a minute’s notice.
Must be flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Ensure the correct and timely setup of all Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions which include meeting rooms, breaks, audio visual and other equipment.
At all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, fellow associates and management.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas to include the carpet, floors, walls, walks, doors, windows, heating/air conditioning units, etc.
Break down banquet space after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
