About The Position

The Banquet & Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, sales, execution, and continuous improvement of all events at Loch Lloyd Country Club. This role serves as the central leader for the club’s events calendar, ensuring exceptional member experiences, strong financial performance, and seamless cross-departmental coordination. The Banquet & Events Manager oversees events end-to-end from concept and sales through execution, financial reconciliation, and post-event evaluation, while actively identifying opportunities to grow internal club programming and expand on-site events not directly sponsored by the club. This position plays a key role in elevating the club’s reputation for excellence, hospitality, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in: Hospitality Management, Event Management, Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of four (4) years of event planning experience at the manager level, preferably in a private country club or comparable multi-layered hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-volume, high-touch events with strong financial accountability.
  • Proven written, verbal, budgeting, and client-facing communication skills.
  • Experience working within a member-driven, service-focused organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
  • Proficient in Club Essentials and other backend operating systems.
  • Comfortable using budgeting, receipt tracking, financial reporting, and operational tools (including automation platforms where applicable).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with extreme attention to detail, particularly related to financials and timelines.
  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives, and exercise independent judgment within organizational policies.
  • Creative, outgoing personality with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Event Development
  • Own and manage the club’s master events calendar, identifying opportunities for growth in both internal club programming and externally sourced on-site events.
  • Collaborate across all departments and membership groups with an open mind to develop an integrated annual master event plan aligned with club objectives, seasonal programming, and financial goals.
  • Plan and implement strategic direction to achieve revenue, margin, and participation targets for club events.
  • Continuously evaluate event performance and establish a feedback loop to improve programming, execution, and profitability.
  • Event Production & Execution
  • Produce and manage all events from end-to-end, ensuring the highest standards of service, presentation, and execution.
  • Coordinate site visits, tastings, planning meetings, timelines, staffing, and logistics for all banquet and special events.
  • Work closely with culinary, beverage, facilities, golf, and service teams to ensure flawless execution.
  • Actively identify and implement appropriate upselling opportunities to enhance both the guest experience and financial performance.
  • Sales, Marketing & Business Development
  • Establish and grow a client base of organizations, social groups, and businesses through both inside and outside sales efforts.
  • Participate in and help direct event and food & beverage event sales strategy, including collaboration on golf events and club membership marketing initiatives.
  • In collaboration with communications associates, develop and execute the annual marketing, communications, and financial plan supporting event promotion, recruitment, and participation.
  • Represent the club professionally in sales meetings, tours, networking opportunities, and community engagement.
  • Financial Management & Administration
  • Develop, manage, and monitor event budgets, pricing, planning, contracts, deposits, invoicing, and post-event financial reconciliation.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, including forecasting, revenue tracking, expense management, margin analysis, department payroll and scheduling and department P&L’s.
  • Utilize club systems and backend tools for budgeting, receipt tracking, financial reporting, and operational documentation.
  • Preserve confidentiality regarding business materials, financial data, contracts, and internal correspondence.

  • Work non-traditional hours as required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Represent Loch Lloyd Country Club with professionalism, discretion, and integrity at all times.
  • Follow the chain of command.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
