About The Position

A Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing the execution of banquet events, ensuring service standards and guest expectations are met. They manage the flow of food and beverage service, coordinate with kitchen and service teams, and address guest needs in real-time. The role involves direct supervision of banquet staff, event setup, and post-event breakdown.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience in banquet or catering management
  • Knowledge of various types of banquet setups and service styles
  • Outstanding leadership,anizational and time management skills
  • Excellentmunication skills to effectively deal with clients and staff
  • Ability to remain calm andposed under pressure
  • Able to work on feet for long periods
  • Flexible schedule required
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Beverage experience is a plus to assist with Banquet Bar functions
  • bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field is a plus
