About The Position

The Banquet Server will set up, serve and clean up for events ensuring the guests’ expectations are exceeded.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to assist co-workers with their job duties and be a team player
  • Must be available weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to bend and stand for long periods of time in hot conditions and walking and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. on a tray through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and move multiple tables and chairs and podiums weighing up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room
  • Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Riverside County Food Handler's Card is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid ABC RBS (Responsible Alcohol Beverage Service) Certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to ensure efficiency, and report any concerns (safety, service, guest concerns, etc.)
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Assist in any setup/reset for the event to the supervisor’s / coordinator’s / guest’s specifications.
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by Management.
  • Be willing to assist fellow associates as needed and be a team player.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain banquet cleanliness in front and back of the house.
  • Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars in order to exceed the guests’ expectations.
  • Set up banquet room as instructed by supervisor to include linen, service ware and glassware, with attention to detail.
  • Greet guests with a smile and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Serve food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the supervisor to ensure consistency and efficiency throughout the banquet.
  • Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course or meal.
  • Abide by all state, federal, and Ponte requirements pertaining to serving alcohol.
  • Replenish beverages as necessary and check for guest satisfaction.
  • Clean up after the event according to the supervisor specifications.
