In this role, you will be responsible for the setup and serving of food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions according to Resort standards. As part of our team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. Your professionalism and helpful attitude will set the tone for a positive overall impression of the Kalahari.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in food service or the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property) is preferred.
  • To have the ability to work with clients, management and associates in a professional, friendly and courteous manner is critical.
  • Must be flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a server and set-up houseperson is preferred.
  • General food and beverage knowledge, involving at least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
  • Know how to read the banquet event orders (BEO’s) and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function.
  • Serve guests according to resort standard in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Clean up banquet space after the completion of the function and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and restocked properly.
