On Call Banquet Server

About The Position

As a Banquet Server you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our events. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, setting up and breaking down banquet functions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in banquet or restaurant service preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in related field required
  • Tips and Food Handlers certificates required
  • Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
  • Ability to stand during entire shift

Responsibilities

  • Event Setup and Breakdown:
  • Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, and centerpieces.
  • Break down banquet rooms after events, cleaning and storing equipment.
  • Guest Service:
  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and respond to their requests promptly.
  • Maintain a positive and attentive attitude throughout the event.
  • Food and Beverage Service:
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
  • Clear tables and reset for the next course.
  • Teamwork:
  • Collaborate with other team members, including banquet captains, bartenders, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and managers.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Assist with event planning and coordination as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures.
