About The Position

Serves meals to patrons for banquet and catering functions insuring guest satisfaction by performing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be 18 years of age to serve liquor in the State of Florida.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stand; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear
• The employee regularly is required to walk and stand and reach with hands and arms
• The employee is frequently to climb or balance; and taste and smell
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to serve from a full tray
• The employee must be occasionally lift and/or up to 25 pounds
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers
• Computer skills – none

Responsibilities

• Prepare function room for banquet function; set tables and place settings
• Serve drink of choice to guests
• Garnish and decorate dishes prior to serving
• Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
• Suggest desserts, beverages and after dinner drinks
• Ladle soup, toss salads, portion pies and desserts, brew coffee and perform other services as needed
• Clear and reset tables at conclusion of each course
• Adhere to Trump International Beach Resort Standards
• Adhere to all Safety and Sanitation Standards
• May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
• The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
