QualificationsUnder direct supervision of the Banquet Manager, responsible for the set-up, service to guests, and break down (clean up) of all banquets, conferences and meetings. Performs all related duties that include but are not limited to set up and preparation for banquets, conferences etc. Sets up tables, chairs, stages, buffet lines in accordance with layouts provided by the Banquet Manager. Sets all tables identically according to the format provided for a particular meal setting. Assists in the serving and/or filling of chafing dishes for buffets as required. Assists in cleaning, and break downs all event equipment i.e. tables and buffet areas and ensures equipment and supplies are returned to storage. Insure that all dishes, and banquet supplies are returned to storage and properly accounted for. Responsible for stocking the wait station with china, silver, paper goods, candles, and any other supplies needed for service. Provide a positive experience for guests. Polishes silverware and prepares for use. Serves all courses of meal, including beverage and pre-buss when appropriate. Keeps floors and work area clean. Ensures all products on the tables are clean, full and ready for customers. Maintains a good communication with co-workers and guests and maintains a positive and professional work environment. Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required Performs other duties as required. Prefer six months experience in banquet service, convention or food & beverage industry. Must be 18 years of age. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, random drug and controlled substance abuse tests, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license in California and Arizona, if required. Tribal preference given to qualified tribal members.
