About The Position

Banquet Servers play a key role in delivering polished, professional service during meetings, weddings, social events, and special functions. This position supports the successful execution of events by preparing event spaces, serving food and beverages efficiently, and maintaining a high standard of guest service throughout each function. Banquet Servers work as part of a coordinated team in a fast‑paced, event‑driven environment where timing, accuracy, and attention to detail matter. Set up event spaces according to event orders and supervisor direction, including tables, chairs, linens, service stations, dance floors, and stages. Prepare event spaces by polishing silverware, setting tables, folding napkins, and ensuring all details meet established presentation and service standards. Serve food and beverages professionally and consistently, following established steps of service and presentation standards, including safely carrying and managing serving trays. Monitor guest needs throughout events by replenishing beverages, clearing dishes promptly, and responding courteously to requests. Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas and event spaces before, during, and after events, including vacuuming and carpet care as required. Assist with room and event breakdown following functions, including clearing tables, breaking down room setups, dance floors, and stages. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing event timelines, varying event durations, seasonal volume changes, and last-minute adjustments. Work collaboratively with team members while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Contribute creativity and ideas toward food presentation, table design, and overall event aesthetics when appropriate. Follow all state, federal, and company policies regarding food safety and the responsible service of alcohol. Practice safe work habits and comply with all safety, sanitation, MSDS, and OSHA guidelines. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Compensation & Seasonality This position operates on a seasonal pay structure based on business volume. Rates increase during peak season and return to off-season levels at the close of the season. Applicants should be aware that acceptance of this position includes availability for banquet setup shifts, banquet service shifts, and wedding events, as scheduled based on operational demand.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment with a strong, positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work events with varying schedules, durations, and seasonal demands, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to remain professional and effective during extended event shifts, including physically demanding service periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Banquet Food service experience, especially experience in fine dining, is a plus.
  • Ability to remember and recite menu items.
