About The Position

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS Provides prompt and courteous food and beverage service to banquet guests during banquets/catering functions ensuring guests’ satisfaction. Serves menu items in a prompt and courteous manner and according to the banquet event order, times of service to correspond with the dining pace of the guests. Performs pre-shift and post-shift side work, set up condiments, etc. Clears tables after service. Removes trays of dirty dishes, silverware and glassware to kitchen for cleaning. Responds to guest inquiries and special requests promptly to ensure guest satisfaction and notifies supervisor of guest complaints and unusual situations. Performs all other work related duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager or the Banquet Captain. The duties listed are not set forth for the purposes of limiting the assignment of work. Requirements

  • Work Experience Required: Food service experience with general knowledge of Banquet Operations.
  • Education: High School Diploma and /or equivalent experience.
  • Must possess a Los Angeles County Food Handlers Certification.
  • Other Requirements: Positive, enthusiastic approach to all assignments. Attendance and punctuality are an essential function of the position. A professional appearance per company standards. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Able to lift 50 pounds as many times as needed during an 8 hour shift and able to stand continuously during an 8 hour shift.
  • Must possess an ability to work with minimal supervision and make educated ethical decisions as necessary. Must be able to resolve conflicts and have effective communication skills with all levels of employees and be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. Must demonstrate an ability to work independently.
