As the Catering Coordinator at The Golf Club at Newcastle, you are responsible for logging event inquiries, use of CRM programs, event bookings, assigning potential events to catering sales managers, and other duties as assigned. Your commitment to a high level of customer service when interacting with new and existing clients will make you successful in this position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Represent, contribute to, and promote Oki Golf as a market leader. Ensure excellence for every guest/team member experience. Understand Oki Golf’s definition of guest service and embody the service philosophy. Follow business plans & initiatives and achieve sales objectives, expectations, and targets.Professional representation of the property and amenities in relation to all communications (pre/day of/post event), timely/accurate billing, and sales support to catering sales managers Provide regular, timely, and informative communications to team members (BEO & function space diagrams) regarding current policies, programs, and initiatives Establish and embody the benchmark of performance to the department in the areas of motivation, sense of ownership, and dedication to the quality of product. Maintain a positive disposition and high integrity when addressing guest(s) and team member(s) regarding any club or company-related business. Return all inquiries and correspondence within 24 hours. Exhibit creativity and implement new ideas to achieve goals.Must uphold a professional appearance and demeanor and be dressed in uniform at the start of each shift. Provide suggestive selling at every opportunity by informing guests of specials and your personal recommendations. Always anticipate guest needs, including referring cross-property booking. Maintain proficient knowledge of all booking procedures, menu items, and event space capabilities. Other tasks as assigned.
