Our food and beverage operations set the tone for memorable events, and we are seeking a Banquet Manager to lead the charge. Position Summary The Banquet Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of all banquet operations. This role ensures events run smoothly, service standards are met, and guest expectations are exceeded. The Banquet Manager will lead a dynamic team, ensure financial targets are met, and cultivate an environment of exceptional hospitality.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of banquet management, food & beverage management, or event operations experience in a full-service hotel, catering, or upscale event venue.
  • Strong leadership and team development experience.
  • Experience managing high-volume events, including corporate functions, social events, and weddings.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, labor management, and cost control principles.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Marriott systems, including CI/TY, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage trends and the ability to elevate banquet offerings.
  • Market awareness and the ability to implement creative problem-solving strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events, ensuring exceptional service and seamless operations.
  • Maintain banquet service standards while maximizing profitability and ensuring a premium guest experience.
  • Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance, including beverage control and cost management.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Hire, train, and develop a high-performing banquet team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Schedule banquet staff based on event needs and labor forecasts.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and team training sessions to ensure product knowledge and service standards remain at the highest level.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between banquet operations, sales, and the culinary team to ensure event success.
  • Address guest concerns with professionalism, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.
  • Utilize guest feedback and survey data to refine and enhance banquet service offerings.
  • Collaborate with the Sales & Events team to tailor experiences to client expectations and drive repeat business.
  • Partner with the Director of Food & Beverage to forecast revenue, manage expenses, and optimize financial performance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing and reconciliation of banquet events.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and revenue growth within the banquet operation.
