About The Position

The Banquets Catering team at Hotel 55 is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to ensure seamless execution of events and banquets.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment, preferably in a banquets or catering setting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Familiarity with banquet equipment and supplies, including tables, chairs, linens, and audiovisual equipment
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support the banquets team

Responsibilities

  • Set up and break down banquet rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet storage areas, kitchens, and service corridors
  • Assist with the delivery and setup of food and beverages for events, ensuring timely and efficient service
  • Collaborate with the banquet team to ensure all events are executed according to plan, and provide exceptional customer service to clients and guests
  • Perform various tasks as needed to support the banquets team, including polishing silverware, folding napkins, and restocking supplies
