About The Position

The Banquet House Attendant is responsible for the setup, breakdown, and overall maintenance of banquet spaces to ensure successful events and guest satisfaction. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work flexible schedules according to event needs.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each duty satisfactorily.
  • Must maintain current Food Handler Card.
  • Must maintain current OLCC Service Permit.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all banquet spaces prior to scheduled events as outlined in Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) or as directed by management.
  • Arrange tables, chairs, buffet stations, and other event equipment according to event layouts and guest requirements.
  • Set dining tables with linens, china, glassware, flatware, and any necessary décor.
  • Ensure all audiovisual and lighting equipment is properly positioned as needed.
  • Dismantle tables, chairs, and other banquet equipment following the conclusion of events.
  • Return banquet spaces to their standard configuration or prepare for the next scheduled event.
  • Safely transport tables, chairs, and other equipment to designated storage areas.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, hallways, storage areas, and service spaces.
  • Assist in keeping the banquet kitchen, coolers, and related equipment clean and orderly.
  • Conduct regular inspections of banquet areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness for upcoming events.
  • Conduct routine inventory checks of banquet supplies, including linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware, and decorative items.
  • Ensure proper care and storage of all banquet equipment and supplies.
  • Report shortages or damages to the department manager.
  • Assist servers and other banquet staff during events by transporting tables, chairs, and equipment as needed.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Communicate any guest concerns, special requests, or maintenance issues to the department manager.
  • Ensure safe handling of heavy furniture and equipment during setups and teardowns.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues or hazards in banquet spaces.
  • Follow proper safety procedures for lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by the F&B Banquets Team or Events Team.
  • Adapt to last-minute changes or additional tasks to meet event demands.
