About The Position

Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. is seeking a Banquet Event Manager for their location at 840 Hollander St. Newark Oh. 43055. This role involves working closely with clients to plan and execute events at The Grove, managing staff, and overseeing campground operations. A successful applicant will have experience in event planning, strong organizational skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, deliver outstanding customer service, enjoy training staff, and possess the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet driving standards.
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Knowledge of bartending and liquor laws.
• SERV Safe Manager Certification. (May be obtained after employment.)

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences.
• Create detailed event proposals.
• Supervise and participate in the setup, service, and breakdown of events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Manage lead and motivate staff.
• Resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during events or reservations.
• Provide customer service to campground guests.
• Ensure events and park follow all health and safety regulations.
• Manage campground staff and park operations.
