Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at a moderate level to understand instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Experience in quantity cooking and food preparation in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Basic knowledge of food products and safe food handling practices.
  • Ability to hear equipment timers and communicate clearly with other staff members.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties requiring moderate hearing and comprehension.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working as a banquet cook or in a similar large-scale food service environment.
  • 2-year Culinary Degree
  • Certification in food safety or culinary training.
  • Familiarity with room service operations and banquet event protocols.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong teamwork and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food according to banquet menus and recipes.
  • Ensure all food products are handled and stored safely in compliance with health regulations.
