About The Position

Hiring experienced Banquet Captains who will be responsible for supervising the Banquet Servers in a positive manner. Job Functions Meet and greet clients. Oversee in house catered functions. Responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event. Responsible for the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the work areas, banquet rooms and storage areas. Responsible for the proper usage and good working order of all equipment, furniture and fixtures in the Banquet and Catering Section in the shift assigned. Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer needs are met. Supervise events and team members throughout service. Guide the Banquet Servers in set up of tables and place settings. Resolve staff and customer concerns quickly and efficiently. Responsible for ensuring sufficient operating guest supplies, beverage supplies and operating equipment for functions assigned. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Supervisory experience preferred.
• High school or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Good computer skills including Word and Excel.
• 2+ years of convention hotel experience or related field preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills.
• Have the ability to make connections with people, motivating and inspiring them to achieve results.
• Demonstrate strong initiative and self-direction.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and results oriented.
• Ability to understand, quickly react and motivate others to adapt to the changing organization.
