Bohemia Manor Farm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Banquet Captain to join our team of hospitality professionals, overseeing and coordinating banquet events from set-up through breakdown. As our Banquet Captain, you will lead the service team, working closely with culinary and event management to ensure exceptional guest experiences to execute flawless events. This role requires leadership skills and management experience, someone who can motivate and command excellence from our staff in a way that encourages a collaborative and client-service-driven environment. Requirements

  • 2+ years of banquet or restaurant service experience required
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Promote and portray the VIVÂMEE Values
  • Supervise and direct banquet servers and support staff during events
  • Conduct pre-event briefings to review service plans, menu details, and assignments
  • Ensure event spaces are properly set according to event orders and specifications
  • Monitor timing and flow of service to maintain a seamless guest experience
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during events for staff and event coordinators
  • Greet hosts and guests professionally and address any special requests
  • Handle guest concerns or service issues promptly and effectively
  • Maintain high standards of hospitality and service excellence
  • Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to banquet staff
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support throughout events
  • Ensure staff adhere to uniform, grooming, and service standards
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
  • Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure accurate and timely food delivery
  • Oversee event breakdown and ensure proper storage of equipment and supplies
  • Complete post-event reports and communicate feedback to management
  • Ensure VIVAMEE values are apparent and implemented in all team and customer interactions
  • Know, understand, and adhere to company-established policies and procedures
  • Other tasks as required by the management
