About The Position

Elevated above the Distractions Promontory Club is looking to hire a Seasonal Food & Beverage Banquet Bartender (Hourly). Our Banquet Bartender will meet the Member's food and beverage needs in a friendly and professional manner that is consistent with the highest standards of Promontory Club events. Overview: We are looking to competitively compensate experienced bartenders who have a proven record of excellent service, attention to details, maintenance of portion control and completion of all compliance requirements with UDABS

Requirements

  • Must be willing to work various hours, nights, holidays and weekends when needed
  • must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • ability to lift 25lbs regularly and the ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
  • must be willing to work at any F&B outlet when required.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • must have or be able to acquire a State of Utah food handler's certification within two weeks of employment
  • must be at least 21 years of age for serving alcoholic beverages (UDABS).
  • A broad background in banquet dining and events is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must have strong communication and organization skills
  • must have a high attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment all while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Abide by Promontory policies and procedures and submit ideas for possible revision
  • work independently with little supervision
  • courteous and helpful with Promontory Club Members and employees
  • a thorough knowledge of all games, electronic media and Point of Sales systems will be required within the first 30 days of employment
  • practice proper and timely communication.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • (2) two years of previous experience working as a supervisor in a banquet or catering environment preferred
  • preferred to have a recognized alcohol server training card by the Utah Department of Alcohol and Beverage Services (UDABS)
  • Knowledge of fine wines preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of fine wines preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of traditional cocktail recipes and mixology techniques.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be willing/able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, be punctual and well groomed.
  • Uniforms are provided.
  • Excellent communication skills and “customer first” attitude is essential for this position.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Other duties as assigned or as required to ensure the guest has a positive and satisfactory dining experience, complete assigned side work prior to starting or ending a shift.
