About The Position

Event Bartender Perform responsible and legal alcohol service to guests over the age of 21 for contracted events at The Madison Event Center and Hotel Covington. Duties: Remain guest focused while performing all assigned duties before, during or after an event Welcome and greet guests upon entering The Madison/Hotel Covington Provide information about our food, beverages and other functions and services Set up, tear down, and clean banquet areas for events Ready and willing to assist other team members with event duties Handle tables, chairs, linens, tableware and décor carefully to prevent breakage and loss Always follow safe food handling guidelines Handle payment from guests Attend all scheduled employee meetings and provide suggestions for improvement Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be 20 years and 1 day of age
  • Must be able to work weekends
  • Must be Serv-Safe or T.I.P.S certified
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Punctual, Energetic, motivated, and works well with team members
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills and ability to follow directions
  • Be willing to work until the job is complete and perform other duties assigned
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
  • Be able to reach, bend, and safely lift and maneuver up to 30 pounds and move up to 100 pounds with assistance

  • Handle payment from guests
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Cleanliness of bar and service areas
  • Breaking down all drink stations including the coffee station and taking out your garbage
