About The Position
Position Summary: The Banquet Bartender is responsible for setting up, preparing, and serving beverages to guests at banquet events in a courteous and efficient manner. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of bartending experience, preferably in banquet or event settings.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of state and local alcohol laws and regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up and break down the bar area according to banquet event orders (BEOs)
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and beverage offerings, including specialty cocktails.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and comply with legal and company guidelines.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate tabs when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout the event.
- Restock supplies and assist in inventory control.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with banquet servers, kitchen staff, and event coordinators.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience.
