About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Attorney to join our Client's legal team. This Associate Attorney position offers the opportunity to handle a wide range of bankruptcy matters in a remote work environment. You will be responsible for managing bankruptcy cases from inception through resolution, working with clients and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the Maryland and Virginia State Bars
• 0-3 years of bankruptcy law experience
• Must reside in Baltimore, Maryland or Alexandria, Virginia
• Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Active bar license in Maryland and/or Virginia
• Local residency in Baltimore, MD or Alexandria, VA
• Demonstrated experience or coursework in bankruptcy law

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and approve bankruptcy-related pleadings and legal documents
• Handle all aspects of bankruptcy matters including Proof of Claims, Motions for Relief, Objections, Responses to Objections, Payment Change Notices, Settlements, and Adversary Proceedings
• Participate in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person hearings
• Conduct regular client meetings and provide case updates
• Manage and prioritize a large caseload effectively
