About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Bankruptcy Attorney to join a confidential client's legal team. This is a remote position based in Covington, KY, offering the opportunity to work on diverse bankruptcy cases while enjoying flexible work arrangements. The successful candidate will handle client matters, manage case timelines, and contribute to the firm's bankruptcy practice.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active Kentucky bar license (or ability to obtain one)
• Minimum of 1-2 years of bankruptcy law experience
• Strong knowledge of bankruptcy code and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software
• Valid Kentucky bar license or ability to obtain licensure
• Proven bankruptcy law experience
• Ability to work remotely and maintain professional communication standards

Nice To Haves

• Experience with consumer and commercial bankruptcy matters
• Familiarity with court filing systems and e-filing procedures
• Prior experience working remotely
• Strong time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings
• Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and related legal documents
• Conduct client intake meetings and provide legal counsel on bankruptcy options
• Manage case deadlines and maintain accurate client files
• Appear in bankruptcy court and communicate with trustees and creditors
• Provide support to clients throughout the bankruptcy process
• Maintain ethical standards and comply with all court rules and regulations
