About The Position

The Banking Intern is responsible for working with core teams of the bank in the day-to-day functions of the bank. They will provide assistance with functions that support the growth and development of our bank’s operations, while also learning the elementary functions of the bank.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, years of experience considered in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• entry-level developmental role designed to provide hands-on exposure to core banking functions
• Begin learning regulatory compliance and credit fundamentals, with progressive exposure to additional banking operations
• Rotate through core banking functions as training progresses
• Assist with operational tasks to understand end-to-end banking processes
• Support internal teams with research, reporting, and administrative tasks
• Participate in internal meetings, training sessions, and development opportunities
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information at all times
• Assist with the analysis of different credit and financial information pertaining to various types of loans
• Learn to conduct financial analysis on borrowers to asses the ability to repay loans, monitoring trends and conditions of the market
• Learn the basics of banking compliance standards, including HMDA data integrity
• Be a highly motivated team player and be able to work independently, efficiently, and collaboratively.
